Zen answers

Famous Zen Koan:
If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

The sounds it makes is silent and is full of meaning.
If someone is there to hear it, they think, "a tree just fell in these woods"
But if No one is there to hear it, the sound that is heard tells a story full of meaning.
Be No one.

I am just a drunk*
A drunk is just a kid.
Made to wear whatever hat
The handler puts on his lid.

Blessed I am to have
An audience so fine
With kind eyes they watch
Lift me up to the sky

Injured I was before
Front of evil eyes I flipped.
So not any more
In Adulthood, it's I who commands the whip

---

*I am using drunk here as a slang term for a novice. I don't know if its been used like that before.

This is a poem for my audience who watched me do backflips in Ashland, Oregon. I wanted to note the dynamic of a child or novice performer which sees the audience carry the performance and the adult or professional performer which see themselves commanding the audience.

Birthday Poem for Madame Cola

Birthday Poem for Madame Cola

Baby is born.
But not the chances to win.
To the world, the wise are dead
They are beyond beginning and end.

Here is the purest one
And still Karma could crush...
Even the most,
Innocent heart.

A violent rejection
Will sooth the suffering of this personality
Plus a magical wish
To win all that your deserving.

You say, It's not an easy job,
As a Big Buffalo, you see
But feeling all your light
Makes it easy for me

As soon as I can fly
My first stop will be
To come and drink a Cola
Happy Birthday Romy
